Prime Minister's Office of Japan Message from Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

Today I enjoyed peaches that were extremely juicy and sweet.
The reconstruction of Fukushima is one of the highest priority issues for the Abe Cabinet. We must not baselessly give the cold shoulder to the delicious peaches of Fukushima in spite of the efforts of the farm producers. The government will continue to do its utmost to counter reputational damage to Fukushima from radiation-related rumors.
We are about to enter the season when peaches are at their prime. I plan to enjoy a great many Fukushima peaches again this summer.

Cucumbers grown in Fukushima are crisp and juicy and genuinely delicious.
It is truly regrettable that people baselessly avoid Fukushima’s tasty summer vegetables in spite of the efforts of the people of Fukushima. I very much hope that a great many people enjoy Fukushima’s produce.
The government will continue to do everything in its power to counter reputational damage to Fukushima from radiation-related rumors.

Comment:
The Japanese Government continues its full denial propaganda campaign, broacasting such news to encourage Japanese people to buy and to eat Fukushima Prefecture farm products.
A totally irresponsible campaign as everyone knows what will be the mid-term serious health consequences of eating such radioactive  contaminated foods on the Japanese population .
Another proof that short term economics and politics take always precedence to the lives of the people in the  politicians' thinking, the lives of the people considered as usual just expendable to national interests.
