3 Years After Fukushimka 100 000 People Are Still Homeless

“Forgetting Fukushima makes it more likely that such a nuclear disaster could happen elsewhere,” said Mrs Tatsuko Okawara, one of the hundreds of thousands of victims of the Fukushima accident that began on 11 March 2011.
3 years later there are still over 100,000 people who can’t return home because of Fukushima’s fallout. They’re scattered across Japan. Some live in temporary government housing. Others live with relatives or friends. They’re refugees in their own country.
But despite Fukushima Prime Minister Harper has proposed a law to Protect Nuclear Polluters:
