New UC Berkeley Test Reveals Fantastically High Cesium Levels California Roadside! Part #2

[Posted by @ FB]:

For all the naysayers who said that Fukushima radiation wasn’t hitting the West Coast, here’s a new one for you. UC Berkeley lab tests are now showing high levels of cesium in cattle feed from a California dairy farm that was sent to a lab nine months prior to the test results being received - a long delay that suggests levels are much higher now. Then, the one-two-punch – asphalt along a roadside in the sunny city which catches plenty of rainfall was then measured, much more recently, and a disturbing 3579 pci/kg were found. By anyone’s standards, that cannot just be chalked up as background radiation. Fukushima fallout isn't just coming via ocean currents. It is in our rain, air and soil now.

Measurements of Fission Products from the Fukushima Daiichi Incident in San Francisco Bay Area Air Filters, Automobile Filters, Rainwater, and Food, Dec. 27, 2013: A variety of environmental media were analyzed for fallout radionuclides resulting from the Fukushima nuclear accident by the Low Background Facility (LBF) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in Berkeley, CA. [...] An asphalt berm (curb) along the downslope edge of the road protects the slopes below from rainfall runoff from the road surface. [...] Typically, the sieved material represents at least 80% of the total collected material. For analysis, these sediments are packed into one of the same counting containers as are used for soil samples.
The June 9, sample result was 132.4 Bq/kg of cesium 134 + 137 (3,579 pCi/kg). Winter forage vegetation at the California dairy farm had combined cesium 134 + 137 equaling 0.299 pCi/gram or 299 pCi/kg. http://arxiv.org/pdf/1312.7314v1.pdf

Cesium-134 levels would be even higher than reported due to the 9 months of radioactive decay that took place before testing occurred (37.5% into its 2-year half-life).

No reason is stated for the 9-month gap between when the vegetation sample was harvested and when it was tested.

After more than three years of government cover ups – from Japan, and within our own US agencies, the evidence is coming out from citizens, Universities, once-silenced scientists, and other reputable agencies making it almost impossible to keep the true damage of the Fukushima fallout quiet.

Entire crops of food that we rely upon from California, and along the West Coast of the US, Mexico and Canada being completely inedible due to radiation poisoning. The fish from the Pacific is already too toxic to eat, and our livestock will suffer, as clearly indicated by this UC study, as well. For those still sticking their heads in the ground, the rest of us understand. This is not an easy pill to swallow, but the fact remains, FUKUSHIMA IS HERE
